General Journal

It is possible to post the incoming document through Journal batches when General Journal is selected as Expense Type.

The incoming expense is by default transferred to the General Journal Batch that is configured in the setup. It is possible to transfer and post the expense when the balance of the journal lines is equal to the documents total amount. The buttons in the action bar will become editable, when balance becomes zero.

tip

From the action bar on the Expense setup, it is possible to configure user specific Journals if needed.

Journal Lines

Every incoming document should be registered and need a account number. It is possible to type the number in the account no. field or type some of the name in the description field.

It is possible to view the historic transactions on an account by clicking on the Ledger Entries from the Journal Lines action bar.

Journal lines should be transferred and posted from the Journal, when the balance becomes zero. It is always possible to open the General Journal and se lines in the Journal.

Accounting proposal

When you register accounting to the General Journal lines it is possible to use the proposals from historic used account numbers related to the vendor. When you press the “Choose a value…” button you will se a filtered lookup page from where you can select an historically account number.
